Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan on Sunday attended the event dedicated to India's Republic Day, during which, he congratulated the friendly people of India on behalf of the Armenian government, wishing them new achievements, progress, prosperity, and lasting peace.

“Although our [two] countries are located in geographically different regions, we are united by a rich historical past, democratic values, and deep respect for each other's cultural heritage.

Our relations are intertwined with centuries-old bonds of friendship, which are based on mutual respect and trust.

The comprehensive deepening and development of relations with India in the long term is one of the priorities of the foreign policy of the Republic of Armenia.

India continues to be of great importance to Armenia as a key player that has consolidated its permanent  place in the international arena," Deputy PM Grigoryan noted, the government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Noting that Armenian-Indian cooperation has been brought to a new level in recent years in all possible domains, Mher Grigoryan emphasized that the Armenian side is determined to best realize the unrealized potential in bilateral relations and raise the friendship between the two countries to a qualitatively new level.
