The European Union will not be able to automatically assume financial support for the Prague-based media corporation Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), which has lost its funding due to the decision of US President Donald Trump's administration. EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said.

“Let's see what we can do,” Reuters quoted the head of European diplomacy as saying.

Kaja Kallas added that “Radio Liberty was a beacon of democracy and was of very great value,” she said.

According to Kallas, the issue was discussed at a meeting of EU foreign ministers, DW reports.
