YEREVAN. – Armenia’s ArmenAl Foil-Rolling Plant—which is a part of the Russian RusAl Company—in capital Yerevan, for the first time surpassed its planned production level, which is 25 tons of foil per year.
Ever since the Plant’s establishment in 2000, it has produced and sold more than 130 thousand tons. RusAl has invested around US$ 120 million in the Plant.
And from 2012 to 2014, close to $6-million investment is envisioned in order to modernize ArmenAl, and this will allow the Plant to produce up to 33,600 tons per year, the Company’s statement reads.
