US President Donald Trump has lauded the tariffs he announced on most of the world. He wrote about this on his platform Truth Social.

“We [i.e. the US] have massive Financial Deficits with China, the European Union, and many others. The only way this problem can be cured is with TARIFFS, which are now bringing Tens of Billions of Dollars into the U.S.A. They are already in effect, and a beautiful thing to behold,” Trump wrote, in particular.

“Some day people will realize that Tariffs, for the United States of America, are a very beautiful thing!” he added, in part.

On April 2, Donald Trump announced the imposition of tariffs on goods from 185 countries and territories. Russia, however, is not on this list.
