The US may withdraw up to 10,000 soldiers from Eastern Europe, NBC News reports.
The Pentagon is considering withdrawing some of the troops that former US President Joe Biden’s administration had sent in 2022 to strengthen the defenses of countries bordering Ukraine, DW reports. Subsequently, 20,000 American soldiers arrived in Poland and Romania.
If Washington does indeed proceed with the partial withdrawal, it will intensify concerns in Europe that the US may leave its allies alone to confront the growing Russian threat, European officials said.
