The staff of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan has stopped the attempt to organize mass unrest and the subsequent coup d'état in the country, the press center of this department reports.

The State Committee for National Security has identified and suppressed cases of preparation to incite ethnic hatred by organizing local conflicts with subsequent mass protests and riots, it added.

All members of the group who intended to implement these plans have been identified and detained. One of them was outside Kyrgyzstan, presumably in the UAE. The group planned to shoot a fake provocative video with the image of a beaten, half-naked Kyrgyz girl who was allegedly raped by foreign citizens, the aforesaid press center noted.

This video, according to the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, was intended to touch on national patriotic feelings and provoke the country's disorganized youth. Then, specially trained combat groups armed with firearms, and who planned to incite fights and massacres in the places of work and residence of foreigners, were to enter the video. The events were to repeat the massacres of May 2024, when citizens of Southeast Asian countries were attacked in Bishkek.

Similar provocations were planned also against Kyrgyz citizens and law enforcement agencies, which were followed by mass riots. All these actions were aimed at discrediting the country's leadership and causing discontent among the population, creating favorable conditions for large-scale protests financed by the opposition, according to the report.

The special services of Kyrgyzstan already have information that the overall organizing of these provocative actions was carried out remotely outside the country.

Work is underway to catch the organizers. Thus, as a result of the measures taken, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan prevented an attempt to organize mass riots at the final phase of preparation and implementation of the aforementioned plans, the report says.

The names of those detained are not being publicized in the interests of the investigation.
