Syria's interim president Ahmed al-Sharaa will visit France on Wednesday. This will be his first trip to Europe in this capacity, BFMTV reports, citing a source at the Elysee Palace.
In Paris, al-Sharaa will hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Macron "will reaffirm France's support for the construction of a new, free, stable, sovereign Syria," the source added.
The French head of state had invited Ahmed al-Sharaa to visit France back in early February.
