Qatar is preparing to gift the US leadership with a Boeing 747-8 aircraft worth $400 million, and known as the "flying palace," which will be used as the presidential plane. Currently, this matter is under consideration, and a final decision has not yet been made, Ali Al-Ansari, Qatar’s Media Attaché to the US, told  Politico.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump confirmed that he is going to accept the luxurious gift. He called it a transparent deal, and noted that he sees no problem with it.

The news caused a sharp reaction from the Democratic Party.

In response, Trump accused Democrats of corruption.

Politico’s sources claimed that this gift is not related to any of Trump’s actions and therefore cannot be considered a bribe, and since the plane is being given to a government agency, not an individual, it does not violate the US constitution.

If this luxury Boeing 747-8 is delivered, it will be one of the most expensive gifts ever received by the US government. Trump personally inspected the plane in February when it was at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida, near his Mar-a-Lago residence.
