NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte shared his impressions after talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, calling Ankara a “staunch and capable ally.”
“Excellent to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara today as we prepare the NATO Summit next month to keep the Alliance strong.
Türkiye is a staunch and capable ally. We also discussed Ukraine, where there is a real window of opportunity for progress towards peace,” he wrote on the social network X.
The talks between Rutte and Erdogan in Ankara were held in a closed format.
