Russian President Vladimir Putin did not show up for the talks, although he initiated them himself. Ukraine will not run around the world looking for the man, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said at a press conference, RBC-Ukraine reports.

“I believe that the leader of the Kremlin should demonstrate his leadership. If he is ready to negotiate, we should meet,” the Ukrainian President said.

He emphasized that the meeting should take place without any conditions.

“He (Putin, ed.) wanted 'Let's meet'. It can't be like this. We are now in Ankara, now we flew here. After that we are sending a group to Istanbul. He is not here, he is not in Istanbul. We can't run around the world looking for a man. They (partners, - ed.) feel disrespected by Russia. In my opinion."” - Zelensky added.
