Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received the delegation led by Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission of the European Union (EU), the Armenian government press service reports.

The interlocutors mutually highlighted the successes recorded within the framework of the visa liberalization dialogue launched last year, as a result of which the Armenia-EU Visa Liberalization Action Plan is being transferred to the Armenian government.

In this context, Mher Grigoryan reaffirmed Armenia’s commitment to ensure the full and effective implementation of this action plan, and presented the reforms already carried out in the country as well as those planned for the near future.

In turn, Johannes Luchner welcomed the respective efforts of the Armenian government, and stressed that Armenia has moved the fastest along this path.

Following the bilateral meeting, the official handing of the Armenia-EU Visa Liberalization Action Plan to Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan, as the country’s chief negotiator in this regard, was conducted by Johannes Luchner—and with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
