During his official visit to Georgia, the meeting between President Vahagn Khachaturyan of Armenia and speaker Shalva Papuashvili of the Parliament of Georgia continued in a constructive and partnership-oriented atmosphere, the president’s office informs.

During the meeting, the sides discussed agenda items related to cooperation in political, economic, cultural, and other areas of mutual interest. The role of inter-parliamentary ties in further deepening bilateral relations was emphasized, as well as the importance of implementing joint initiatives that will contribute to strengthening stability, development, and mutual trust in the region.

Reflecting on the Crossroads of Peace initiative of Armenia, President Khachaturyan highlighted the strategic significance of this project in terms of long-term peace and regional economic integration. The parties agreed that the successful implementation of this initiative could create new opportunities for sustainable economic growth—not only for Armenia and Georgia, but also for the entire region.

Also, they discussed matters related to unlocking the economic potential of regional development and deepening energy cooperation. In this context, the importance of joint efforts in international platforms and multilateral formats was stressed, aimed at the effective implementation of energy projects, development of communication infrastructure, and expansion of mutually beneficial economic ties.

The interlocutors reaffirmed their mutual readiness to continue close cooperation in all domains aimed at strengthening relations between the two friendly countries and advancing the agenda of peace, security, and development in the region.
