Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in Astana, the Kazakh capital.

After the official welcoming ceremony at the Akorda Residence—the official residence of the Kazakh president—the two leaders held a one-on-one meeting, Armenpress reports.

An expanded-format meeting involving delegations from both sides is expected to follow the private meeting.

The Armenian delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan, First Deputy Minister of High-Tech Industry Gevorg Mantashyan, and several others.

The Kazakh delegation is composed of Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Zhaslan Madiyev, Nuclear Energy Agency President Almasadam Satkaliyev, Transport Minister Nurlan Sauranbayev, and some others.

The agenda of the talks includes the deepening of cooperation between the two countries in economic, political, and some other domains, as well as the development of cooperation on regional issues.
