The eldest daughter of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain, Princess Leonor, 20, made her first solo flight, thus finishing an important phase of her military training, reports Vanity Fair.
The heiress to the throne is undergoing military training at the General Academy of Air and Space.
Thanks to this achievement, Leonor made history by becoming the first woman of Spanish royalty to make a solo flight.
However, this has become a symbolic break with the traditions of the Spanish royal family, where military aviation has been considered an exclusively male domain.
