The densely-Armenian-populated districts of Sheikh Taha and the Villas suffered material damage from explosions as a result of clashes in Aleppo early Thursday morning, reports the Aleppo-based Kantsasar Armenian newspaper.

But there are no injuries, and the damage is only material.

At the moment, a cautious calm reigns in Aleppo.

Occasional sounds of gunfire are heard.

Grocery stores, bakeries, and hospitals are open.

The Syrian army has called on the local population to leave the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh districts of Aleppo by 1pm.
