YEREVAN. – Despite heavy snowfall, Armenia’s interstate highways, local roads, and mountain passes are drivable, for the most part, as of Thursday 8:20 a.m.

But the Berd-Chambarak Highway and Selim Mountain Pass are closed due to heavy blizzard. The Gyumri-Ashotsk, Gyumri-Spitak, and Gavar-Sevan highways are difficult to pass. There is snowstorm also at Artik-Aragats and Dilijan-Sevan highways and at Meghri Mountain Pass, the Transport and Communication Ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.  

Snow removal, salting, and sanding are intensively continuing all through the country’s roads.
