The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier has entered the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) waters in the Indian Ocean, a senior US official told Fox News, the latter reports.
“The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier has entered CENTCOM waters in the Indian Ocean amid increasing threats from Iran,” the source said.
Washington is strengthening its military presence in the region, not only at sea, but also in the air and on land.
A squadron of F-15 fighter jets has deployed to the region, and C-17 aircraft carrying heavy equipment have arrived.
