Armenia’s second president, Robert Kocharyan, congratulated on the occasion of Army Day.

In his respective message, Kocharyan noted as follows, in particular: "We record with regret: over the past 8 years, everything has been done to weaken, dismember, and break our most combat-ready and victorious army if the region.

The obsession of the [incumbent Armenian] political leadership to blame its mistakes on the army did not remain without consequences for our army.

The main guarantor of real, long-lasting, and dignified peace for all states in the world is a strong and combat-ready army, and we[Armenians]  cannot be an exception.

I am hopeful that we will succeed in quickly changing the situation, restoring the strength and spirit of the army, which will ensure stable peace.

Glory to all the military personnel who wear the uniform of the Armenian Army with dignity!

Eternal glory to our soldiers who were martyred for the Motherland!"
