Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows: US Vice President James David [(JD)] Vance, as is known, will visit Armenia and Azerbaijan in February. It is obvious that the main goal of the visit will be the launch of TRIPP [i.e. the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity project]. It is possible that an agreement will be signed on the establishment of a joint company, which will stipulate that the American side will receive 74 percent of the company, Armenia—26 percent.

TRIPP, however, is not the only direction that will be in the center of Vance's attention. Behind the scenes of [Armenian] authorities’ circles, they say that a document may also be signed, according to which Armenia will entrust the construction of a modular nuclear power plant to the US. This topic has been circulating on the [Armenian] authorities’ agenda for several years.

Russia has also submitted a similar bid. Naturally, the decision will be political. The West and the US consider the closure of the Metsamor nuclear power plant [of Armenia] and the construction of modular nuclear power plants [in Armenia] as part of their plan to push the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation] out of the region.
