Past daily of Armenia writes as follows: It seems that a split has begun once and for all, or at least there is a lack of unity in terms of the upcoming [parliamentary] elections, in the so-called pro-Western camp of Armenia.

Let us recall that after the so-called “Eurovote” initiative, when discussions were already underway on how the pro-Western forces close to the authorities should run in the parliamentary elections, one of the forces that was part of the bloc, the European Party, headed by Tigran Khzmalyan, was left out of the “Eurorvote” bloc (...).

And now, according to information, quite serious disagreements have arisen between the Republic and the For the Republic Parties. On January 22, the Republic Party announced that they will run in the parliamentary elections, and their candidate for prime minister is [party chairman and former PM] Aram Z. Sargsyan. (...).

In fact, the information was confirmed that the For the Republic and the Republic Parties will run in the elections separately. (...).

Let us recall that in December it became known that the European Union will allocate 15 million euros to Armenia, allegedly “to counter” the so-called "hybrid threats," and the main and major reason for the division of the pro-Westerners [of Armenia], according to the information circulating, is precisely the oversight over at least part of the funds to be allocated.

Such a division, by the way, could be a serious blow to the pro-Westerners in the parliamentary elections, since in this way no "pro-Western party" [in Armenia] will most likely succeed in overcoming the passing threshold [to win parliamentary seats].
