Armenian Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Mkrtchyan delivered opening remarks at the third meeting of the coordinating council of the "Support to the effective execution of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in Armenia" project.

Mkrtchyan, expressing gratitude to the Council of Europe (CoE) for the constructive and effective cooperation, emphasized that its assistance played a significant role in developing the institutional capacities and reforms of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the ministry.

Also, the deputy minister of internal affairs presented the positive results recorded in the joint work and the main directions of cooperation.

In the context of strengthening the protection of human rights in Armenia and compliance with international standards, Armen Mkrtchyan emphasized the importance of capacity development and the continuity of systemic reforms. It was emphasized that the continued support of the CoE will significantly contribute to the sustainable progress of the reforms adopted by the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The "Support to the effective execution of the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in Armenia" project is implemented by the Council of Europe.
