At the previous government session, we finally approved the procedure for providing benefits for the third and subsequent children. From now on, it is considered a state benefit. The minister of labor and social affairs of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan, announced this in a video posted on Facebook.
Also, Torosyan presented how much money is provided by the government to a family for the birth of a third child in Armenia within one year—and thanks to the benefit—if the monthly benefit is 50,000 drams (approx. US$134).
“Thanks to the benefit, we already have an increase in the birth rate of third children, which is very important both in terms of demographics and for families [in Armenia],” the minister said.
