French President Emmanuel Macron said the drone strike on French soldiers in northern Iraq is "unacceptable" and that France's position in the region is "defensive in nature," France24 reports.
At a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Paris, Macron said he had requested a comprehensive military analysis of the attack.
One French soldier was killed, and six were wounded in the drone strike in northern Iraq. Earlier, President Macron called the attack unacceptable and unjustified.
