YEREVAN. - On December 13, the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia approved the results of the rigged referendum, ignoring numerous reports on violations, the statement of the Political Council of the "New Armenia" Public Salvation Front reads.  

The statement reads:

"The facts show that the persons interfereing with the impartial referendum, including the commission members, made violations under the auspices of the election headquarters of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), being sure they would remain unpunished.   

The facts also show that during the violations the law enforcement authorities behaved as passive observers. They prevented no single case of violation.

Considering all this, the political council of the "New Armenia" announces that the referendum on constitutional amendments was rigged through intermediary of the RPA, its results being approved by the illegal decision of CEC, which serves the Republican Party. "
