August 25, fourth trial of the oppositionists charged with post-election unrests was held in Tehran, more than 20 people were in the dock, Iranian Fars agency reports.

The accused are charged with actions against national security. Among the accused were Former Interior Minister Mostafa Tajzadeh, Former Deputy Foreign Minister- Mohsen Aminzadeh and Former Government Spokesman Abdollah Ramezanzadeh.

One of the leaders of Iranian opposition Saeed Hajjarian stated he “would resign from the mainstream reformist party, Mosharekat.”

“Hajjarian further apologized to the Iranian nation for the damages he has inflicted on the society and also for corruption within his party,” Fars informs.
