YEREVAN. - Premier Karen Karapetyan is the pivotal representative of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

Deputy Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly (NA), Eduard Sharmazanov, told the aforementioned to journalists after the Executive Body session of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Thursday, referring to the question as to whether the Premier has applied for RPA membership.  

“Karen Karapetyan is a pivotal representative of our team regardless of whether he applies for RPA membership or not. Mr Karen Karapetyan is a fully-fledged member of our team, whose political head and leader is Serzh Sargsyan. We share with him our government responsibility. The RPA is be the body fully responsible for Karen Karapetyan’s government the same way it used to during [ex-PM] Vazgen Sargsyan’s government,” Sharmazanov said, noting that the issue of Karen Karaoetyan’s membership to RPA wasn’t discussed at the session.
