The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) condemned the terrorist attack on a Shia mosque in Kabul.
UNAMA Secretary-General’s Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan, Pernille Kardel, called the attack an ‘atrocity,’ expressing hope that the Afghan authorities will do their best to protect the citizens of all faiths.
The attack left 32 people dead and about 50 wounded. The bomb was triggered by a suicide bomber.
