PicsArt announced the launch of Remix Chat— a messaging system where users can share images directly or in groups of up to 50 people and edit them collectively. Remix Chat makes photo-editing more interactive and creative, which is the next step towards PicsArt’s mission to build the most complete and creative social platform on mobile.

Remix Chat allows users to choose from PicsArt’s wealth of tools while remixing. Tools include over 10,000 stickers, customizable filters, photo overlay, text, clone/stamp, masks, double exposure, drawing tools, lens flares, a collage maker and AI-powered Magic Effects, which convert photos into virtual works of art. For example, users can choose  to remix one of 6 million free-to-use images tagged #freetoedit, instead of their own shots, or create funny images using Trump Hair Clipart or Party Clipart packages, share their own viral memes, or just chat with friends through Remix Chat.

To get started, download the latest version of PicsArt Photo Studio: Picture Editor Collage Maker in the App Store or  Picsart Photo Studio and Collage for free on Google Play and tap the “direct message” icon in the top right corner. Select an image to edit and share with one or more of your friends. Once your friend taps on a photo you’ve sent, it will immediately open PicsArt’s editor, ready for them to add their own remixes to your photo.

It should be mentioned that, in May 2016, PicsArt introduced its first Remix feature: Remix, which gave users the ability to discover and remix (i.e. edit) images from trendsetters and creatives from around the world.

PicsArt now has more than 85 million monthly active users, while the number of uploads is 2.5 million per day.
