Armenia presidential candidate and Ambassador to UK Armen Sarkissian on Monday visited the Armenian Catholic Patriarchate of Cilicia in Beirut, Lebanon, and met with Catholicos-Patriarch  Krikor Bedros XX Gabroyan and the Armenian Catholic community notables.

They discussed the Armenian Catholic Church’s activities in Armenia. Also, Catholicos-Patriarch  Gabroyan wished Sarkissian success in his accountable mission.

On the same day, Armen Sarkissian met also with Reverend Megerdich Karageozian, President of the  Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East ; Paul Haidostian, President of Haigazian University in Beirut; and other notable Armenian Evangelical community figures.

Karageozian briefed Sarkissian on the activities of the Armenian Evangelical Church centers. Haidostian, for his part, spoke about the activities of the only Armenian university in the diaspora, and the domains of its close cooperation with Armenia.

At the end of the talk, leadership of the Armenian Evangelical community expressed support for Armenia presidential candidate Armen Sarkissian.
