The accident with the Russian warplane with 15 servicemen on board may have more serious consequences, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the briefing following his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

However, he provided no details. During the briefing he confirmed that they had discussed transfer of S-300 complex to Syria after the recent events. Netanyahy said it is a key issue for Israel’s security, RBK reported quoting Kan television.

Russia’s IL-20 plane was shot down over the Mediterranean when it was returning to air base. The Israeli fighters were shelling the territory of Syria, when the accident happened. Russian defense ministry said the plane was shot down by the Syrian air defense and blamed Israeli pilots for “creating a dangerous situation”.
