Shots were fired Sunday in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, shamshyan.com reported.

At 10:30pm, the police received a call from a hospital, which informed that a person with gunshot injuries was brought to this medical center.

Police found out that the injured person was taken to the hospital from near a house.

Twenty fired cartridges were discovered at the scene of the incident.

Also, the police found traces of shooting on the gate, window, and ceiling of this house.

Those who had assembled at the scene said it was a domestic dispute.

“The grandson fired shots with a hunting rifle toward the house,” one of them said. “A neighbor came up to him and urged him not to carry out hooliganism, to stop the shooting; and he fired shots on that person.”

The law enforcement seized the weapon from him.

The police investigation department has filed a criminal case.

An investigation is underway.
