Chair of the European Parliament's Delegation for Relations with South Caucasus Sajjad Karim is confident that Armenia will stay high on the EU’s foreign policy agenda.

“We must now see that EU-Armenia agreement is ratified in all EU member states and implemented for the benefit of the citizens of EU and of Armenia,” Karim said during the meeting of the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs where the delegates were briefed on Armenia snap parliamentary elections.

“The next meeting of EU-Armenia parliamentary partnership committee will be held in autumn,” he added.

Karim said he “is indeed impressed” by progress made by Armenia in the last few months after revolution. These elections were not only democratic milestone but also a test for the new government and for further deepening of bilateral relations between Armenia and the European Union.
