YEREVAN. – Representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, have visited Azerbaijani citizen Elvin Ibragimov, who had illegally crossed the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
Zara Amatuni, the communications and prevention manager of the ICRC Yerevan Office, told about the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“Armenian authorities have informed the ICRC about the fact of detention, whereupon a visit was made on March 18,” she said.
Amatuni added, however, that the remaining matters were within the framework of confidential discourse with relevant authorities.
The said Azerbaijani national was apprehended in the early morning hours on March 16, and while illegally crossing the border into Armenia.
