YEREVAN. - The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia wants to confiscate the computers of lawyer Hovhannes Chamsaryan. The lawyer himself told about this Armenian News-NEWS.am, adding that the law prohibits the seizure of a lawyer's computer because it contains confidential information.

"Investigator Onik Arakelyan from the NSS Investigation Department wants to confiscate all the computers in my office within the scope of a criminal case where I was a witness representative," he said. "But all our computers only contain secret information that cannot be confiscated by virtue of any legal act."

He noted that they want to confiscate the computers in connection with the case involving  the Ashtarak Kat company.

The lawyer noted that he refuses to provide the computers, but does not rule out that they can be confiscated by force.

His lawyer, Aramazd Kiviryan, and the chairman of the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia, Ara Zohrabyan, are also at his office.
