President of Iran Hassan Rouhani has declared that Iran believes Turkey and Syria need to cooperate to solve the issue of terrorism and the situation concerning Idlib, reports TASS.
“Rouhani has expressed concern about the ongoing presence of the US in Syria and has declared that there is a need for Iran and Turkey to work with the Syrian government,” the press release posted on the Iranian president’s website reads.
Rouhani made the statement during a meeting with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan held on the sidelines of the summit of Islamic countries in Malaysia’s capital.
