Deputy Governor of Aragatsotn Province of Armenia Garnik Atanesyan has resigned, as reported Atanesyan on his Facebook page.

“Dear residents of Aragatsotn Province, on February 12, I will resign from the office of deputy governor of Aragatsotn Province upon my desire.

As a resident of the province, I have been well aware of the problems in the province. We have solved many problems together, and many issues have remained unsolved, for which I apologize.

I express gratitude to Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and our political team for the trust and cooperation. I remain a part of our strong and revolutionary team. I thank the staff of the regional governor’s office for helping me implement many ideas and see visible results.

I wish the staff of the regional governor’s office and the population of the province success,” he stated.
