The Kremlin has provided details of the phone talks held by Presidents of Russia and Turkey Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Based on the press release, during the phone talks, the parties expressed serious concern over the escalation of tension in Idlib that has led to several deaths, including the deaths of Turkish servicemen. The parties placed emphasis on the importance of increasing effectiveness of coordination through the channels of the Ministries of Defense of Russia and Turkey.

Putin and Erdogan also discussed the course of implementation of the Russian-Turkish agreements reached in 2018 and 2019 and stated that the fight against international terrorist groups is a priority.
