October 1, fulfillment of Armenia's commitments was heard by the PACE Monitoring Commission.

The Head of Armenian delegation to PACE Davit Harutyunyan told RFE/RL (Liberty Armenia) that the decision on including Armenian issue in PACE Session was not made, though certain proposals on the matter were voiced.

Steps undertaken by RA Government heretofore were discussed. The Commission underlined the key issues that will keep on monitoring. “In particular, reforms in police, elections and Elections code, legislative amendments in TV and radio broadcasting and anticipated reforms will be carried out”, Harutyunyan stated. He added that the report of the Ad-hoc committee on March 1-2, 2008 events were not discussed as is not yet translated. Instead, it will be considered during the next Monitoring Commission session.

According to Harutyunyan, the Commission raised the question of independent body creation for examination of the police disputable actions.
