French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and IAEA Director-General Rafael Mariano Grossi held a phone talk on the Iranian nuclear deal, Mehr reported.
The FM expressed serious concern over the suspension of the voluntary implementation of the additional protocol on the deal.
According to a statement released by the French Foreign Ministry, Le Drian praised the IAEA's impartial and professional action and stressed his full support for Grossi's efforts to continue the Agency's mission and activities to verify and monitor Iran's obligations.
The French FM also expressed concern over Iran's decision to suspend the voluntary implementation of the additional protocol and discussed with the IAEA Director-General diplomatic efforts with France and its partners to return the United States and Iran to their nuclear obligations, the statement said.
