Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar on December 5, Azerbaijani media reported, citing the official website of the Azerbaijani President.

According to the information, the delegation consists of the Chief of General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, Commander of Land Forces, Commander of the Navy and Commander of the Air Forces.

At the meeting it was noted that "2022 is a very successful year in terms of development of friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey and the ties between the two countries are getting stronger in all areas, including in the military.

The joint Azerbaijani-Turkish military exercises currently underway in Azerbaijan are of great importance, and that Azerbaijan and Turkey will always remain close to each other in the future.
