Starting in 2026, Ford will be back in Formula One after a hiatus of more than 20 years. As part of the official confirmation of cooperation with the Oracle Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri teams, which will be equipped with powertrains from Red Bull Ford Powertrains, the Blue Oval has also announced a number of new models, Motor reported

These will include road and race cars with gasoline and electric engines. Ford CEO Jim Farley, who called the brand's return to Formula 1 the beginning of a new era for Ford Performance, announced three new models during the presentation.

At least one of them will be equipped with an all-electric powertrain. Ford will make a new racing modification of the last generation Mustang sports car. A variant for serious off-road will appear in the Ranger pickup lineup, and a new version of F-150 Lightning electric pickup will appear in the range of electric cars.

 In the presentation, the mystery pickup version is shown along with Mustang Mach-E 1400, Mustang Cobra Jet 1400, Pro Electric SuperVan and F-100 Eluminator prototypes.

Currently, the most powerful production version of the Ford F-150 Lightning is the twin-engine version with 571 horsepower.
