Native of Armenia pleads not guilty to identity theft charge

Native of Armenia, Sargis Tadevosyan pleaded not guilty to a charge of aggravated identity theft charge.

Three man, including Tadevosyan, indicted of cheating out Medicare, faced an additional charge, The Charleston Gazette.

Tadevosyan, along with Igor Shevchuk and Arsen Bedzhanyan, stole the names and Social Security numbers of several people and used the identities as a front for false Medicaid claims, federal prosecutors allege.

Three men were operating a Charleston-based health care fraud scheme. Prosecutors allege that Tadevosyan also used the identity of a man named Klim Baykov to make bank transactions.
