Artak Beglaryan, the former Minister of State of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), commented on the reaction by Toivo Klaar, the European Union (EU) Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, to Sunday’s Azerbaijani sabotage, and expressed his distrust towards Klaar.
“My mistrust/doubts to Toivo Klaar get deeper due to his reactions to Azerbaijani crimes.
He is either:
- Amateur diplomat,
- Under Az[erbaijani] brainwashing,
- Corrupt official,
- With deviated perceptions of European values, interests & human rights.
All four options require changes,” Beglaryan wrote on Twitter.
Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that Klaar on Sunday wrote as follows on Twitter: "Back in [Azerbaijani capital] Baku. Look forward to substantive meetings with Azerbaijan leadership to advance peace process after meetings in Munich. The deadly incident today underscores the urgency of pushing forward with negotiations to achieve stability & a fair peace."
