Azerbaijan has created a special governmental working group that will discuss the humanitarian, economic and social aspects of the integration of Nagorno Karabakh. Hikmet Hajiyev, adviser on foreign policy to the President of Azerbaijan, has said in an interview with Politico.
"A special working group of the government was created to solve the humanitarian, economic and social issues related to the entry of Nagorno-Karabakh and tens of thousands of ethnic Armenians into Azerbaijan after 30 years of self-proclaimed independence," Hajiyev was quoted as saying․
According to him, guaranteeing access to humanitarian aid "once again shows the good intention and seriousness of the government of Azerbaijan to meet the needs and demands of Armenian residents, as well as to ensure a safe and dignified reintegration process."
"Karabakh was a powder keg and the most militarized zone in the world. But now that is in the past. Under these conditions, the chances of establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan are much greater," he added.
