Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday met with French President Emmanuel Macron, on the margins of the seventh meeting of the European Political Community, in Copenhagen, Denmark, the PM’s office informs.

During the meeting, PM Pashinyan and President Macron discussed the course and the prospects for development of Armenia-France multi-sectoral cooperation. The parties reaffirmed the high level of the privileged relations established between the two countries, and emphasized the importance of implementing new joint initiatives.

Regional developments, the agreements reached at the Washington peace summit, and the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) communication project were also discussed.

The French president reaffirmed his country’s continued support for Armenia’s independence and sovereignty, as well as the agenda of democratic reforms.

In turn, premier Pashinyan thanked France for its comprehensive support being provided to Armenia at this important phase.

The parties agreed to continue their close contacts on bilateral and multilateral platforms.
