“To protest against deception and falsification – is your right. I hope that the law enforcers will manage to avoid unexpected complications”, — declared leader of Iranian opposition Mir Hossein Mousavi while calling his supporters to put on black and wear green ribbons as the protest sign.

According to the oppositional sources, the number of victims is already 19, while the state radio announced 457 arrestees. Mousavi states, that these “massive arrests” create a gulf between the civil society and the law enforcers. In the meantime, on his website the opposition leader indicates that he is not fighting against the fundamental values of Islamic Republic, but against the falsity and fraud.

At that, the Guardian Council admitted, that in the past elections in June 12, 2009 the total votes from 50 cities exceeded the number of people having the voting right.
