Consulate in Aleppo moves closer to Armenian-populated districts

YEREVAN.- Armenia’s consulate general has been moved out of Aleppo.

Spokesperson for Armenian Foreign Ministry Tigran Balayan confirmed the reports for Armenian

Asked whether the reports on consulate moving are true, Balayan said, “For a more efficient and safe organization of consular services provided to the local Armenians, Consulate General of Armenia in Aleppo was temporarily moved closer to the Armenian-populated districts.”

The conflict which started in March 2011 claimed the lives of over 16 thousand people.
