There are many difficulties behind the idea of a new Iran-Armenia gas pipeline.

Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia, Areg Galstyan, told the aforementioned to journalists on Wednesday.

It is very important to know whether Iran is interested in giving more gas and what amount the end customer will purchase.

''All these are issues which we didn't negotiate on. We'll see what the potential investors want and to which extent their plans can be implemented,'' the Deputy Minister said.

The head of the Armenian community of Slovakia, Ashot Grogoryan, has recently stated on his intention to attract $100 mln investments to restore the production of Armenia's Nairit chemical plant (the largest one in Soviet Armenia). According to the investors, they are also going to build a gas pipeline to get acetylene for chemical rubber manufacturing.
