ANKARA. – Turkish President Abdullah Gul stated that slogans voiced at the event dedicated to the Khojalu events in the Taksim Square in Istanbul on Feb. 26 do not express Turkey’s policy and feelings of the Turkish people.

Gull called those slogans shameful and claimed people should not have displayed them once they saw them, the President told the journalists at the airport before departure for Tunisia, Pressturk reports.

“However, we should differentiate between those who participated in the event and those who raised the slogans. I believe the Interior Minister has not seen them. Otherwise, he would have interfered,” Gul said.
