“Representing our President, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we held a comprehensive and productive meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia, His Excellency Nikol Pashinyan, in Yerevan, where we are participating in the 8th summit of the European Political Community.” This was written on social media platform X by Թուրքիայի Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.

“At our meeting with His Excellency Pashinyan, we comprehensively assessed our bilateral relations. We also had the opportunity to discuss steps to strengthen transport, customs, energy, and digital infrastructure and connectivity. We are also particularly pleased that the mutual constructive steps taken within the framework of the normalization process are leading to tangible progress.

We believe that symbolic and concrete areas of cooperation, such as the joint restoration of the bridge in Ani, under which we signed a memorandum of understanding today, will also contribute to creating a lasting atmosphere of peace and security.

Based on regional peace, dialogue, and stability, we will resolutely continue our approach aimed at advancing normalization in the South Caucasus, expanding economic cooperation, and strengthening people-to-people contacts. I hope that our meeting will herald good developments, and I thank His Excellency Pashinyan for his kind hospitality,” Yılmaz noted.
